Formed in 1995 by Steve Johnson, Johnson & Associates specializes in commercial real estate development. Steve began by developing The Virginian an exclusive, gated community complete with a world-class Tom Fazio designed golf course and swim and racquet club. His success with that project led him to begin Johnson & Associates. The company's first project was a shopping center in what has become the fastest growing area in Southwest Virginia. Since then, Johnson and Associates has grown into one of the largest commercial development firms in the region. With more than two million square feet already complete, they are beginning multiple new projects and have begun to branch out throughout the Southeast. What started as a regional company, Johnson & Associate's projects are currently respresented in nine states throughout the South.    Their newest regional development is Southgate Crossing, a TIF financed redevelopment in Bristol TN.  It is comprised of an 80,000 sq. ft. Food City anchored mixed-retail shopping center, a new Super Lowe's, Wal-greens, and residual outparcels.  Also, Phase I of Renaissance Park, a three phase medical complex, is complete and scheduled to open in Fall 2005.
